A gifted child today will be support of the country tomorrow.

Who is a gifted child? What distinguishing features does he have?

In order to find answers to these questions, I began to collect information about gifted children. And of course I opened interesting things for me.

In the twenty first century the world civilization has risen to a new level of development. The purpose of today's education system is the creation of favorable conditions for the formation of a creative, all-round man, educated and a competitive personality. At modern schools the child should receive not just a certain baggage of knowledge, but also be able to apply the received skills and abilities in life.

Identification of a gifted and talented person in childhood is - not only teachers’ task, but all our Kazakhstan’s society. The president of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev told that the future of our country is in the hands of young people, and a gifted child is- the future of the nation.

Giftedness is a source of all-round development of the person and high level of his intelligence, the result of his individual abilities.

Intellectual power of the talented child is the invaluable capital of the state. The ability to see and discover the talent in the child and to develop it must be an important task of every teacher and a psychologist.

It isn't difficult to distinguish exceptional children from the ordinary ones. Because they can easily respond to unexpected questions, are distinguished by erudition, a width of views, attending and openness. Exceptional children can be defined in their infancy, they early start to speak, to go, to listen carefully and to wait quietly.

It is necessary not to forget about development in the child not only a peculiar type of talent, but together with it to take care of disclosure of his emotional, intellectual, art and other abilities. Sometimes psychologists and teachers notice the hidden talent in the child; in this case they should particularly work in order to help the child to realize his talent.

It is important that a gifted child won’t lose his interest in learning. Here the teacher daily must think over his lessons so that the pupil was able to increase his informative level through the search of new solutions of extraordinary tasks, to get acquainted with interesting scientific facts, to work on the creation and development of innovative projects, to think critically, to make and solve entertaining tasks. A teacher and a school psychologist should closely interact and cooperate, observe the well-being and emotional state of these children, create conditions for disclosure of creative and intellectual abilities of a gifted person.

Today under teachers’ careful attention to the work with gifted children, tomorrow we will be able to develop abilities of these children and to provide bright future of our country!
